Ève Lepaon and Cécile Tourneur, lecturers and educators at the Jeu de Paume, offer a commented visit1 of Zineb Sedira’s exhibition, “A brief moment”. In the galleries, the artist in a sense eludes the ambiguous condition of “artwork” 2 by displaying a flow of objects, images, archives and installations, playing with the porosity between pieces. It is perhaps this very movement, so free and personal, that allows her to speak of both geographical and political borders, and the (re)transmission of individual histories over time.
